2026 Summer Ministry
Paterson Ministry
This summer we will mark our 27th year of conducting 5-Day Clubs in the day camps of Paterson. During the week of July 13-17, 2026, teams of CEF-trained volunteers will conduct clubs in Paterson parks and other locations where children are already assembled. You can be part of a team that's making a difference in kids' lives! You can participate as an individual, or your church can send a whole team of workers!
Ministry in Your Neighborhood
5-Day Club
Kids all over North Jersey need to know Jesus! You can assemble your own team and have a 5-Day Club in your own backyard, church parking lot, park, or community center. This is a great opportunity for your church to connect with local families! If you'd love to host a club but don't have a team to teach, contact the CEF office and we'll work with you.
Ministry Training
We’re committed to providing an engaging, high-quality program where the Good News of Jesus is clear to boys and girls, volunteers are prepared and equipped to fulfill their roles with excellence, and Jesus Christ is glorified! We require all volunteers to participate in a one-day training event, as well as attend a team planning meeting. We also welcome any children's workers to attend the training. The sessions are especially helpful for short-term mission teams who will be conducting VBS or other programs for children.
Volunteer Requirements
- Growing Christian
- Ages 14+ (Volunteers aged 12-13 may serve with a responsible adult).
- Attend the Kick-Off meeting.
- Apply and be approved as a CEF volunteer. Contact the CEF office for instructions. This includes a background check.
- Do your best to attend the P4 meeting, where we'll Pray, Plan, Pack, & Practice.
- Do your best to attend the Prayer Over Paterson meeting at Garrett Mountain Reservation lookout.

Kick-off Meeting

Location: Grace Bible Church, 369 High Mountain Road, North Haledon, NJ 07508
The meeting is open to all who are interested in the mission, and is required for those who wish to commit to serve.
Additional Training
Please contact the CEF office if you are interested in Bible Lesson Teacher Training or Team Leader Training.
P4 Meeting - Pray, Plan, Pack, & Practice
June 25, 2026 • 7:00 PM
Location: Grace Bible Church, 369 High Mountain Road, North Haledon, NJ 07508
All volunteers are expected to attend. Among other activities to prepare for ministry, teams will meet to plan each day's club and divide responsibilities.
Paterson Mission
July 13-17, 2026 • 8:00 AM-3:30 PM each day
Base Camp: Madison Avenue Baptist Church; 900 Madison Avenue, Paterson, NJ
Locations: Teams will minister in various parks, community centers, and schools in Paterson.
