MINISTRY COORDINATOR

The ministry coordinator organizes and supervises direct ministry to children while fulfilling the purpose of Child Evangelism Fellowship® and executing and accomplishing the vision of the state board and USA Ministries.

QUALIFICATIONS – The Ministry Coordinator must:

1.  Be a born-again believer who feels called of God to the ministry of child evangelism.

2.  Possess leadership qualities as found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.

3.  Have a good knowledge of Scripture, demonstrate spiritual growth, be able to communicate God’s Word, and understand the foundation of ministry is prayer.

4.  Demonstrate love for Jesus Christ and prayer and an unquestionable passion to reach kids with the Gospel.

5.   Love the local church and other Christian organizations and value them as ministry partners.

6.  Have skills to identify leaders, organize groups, and evaluate the ministry programs.

7. Be a continual learner.

MINISTRY – The Ministry Coordinator will:

1.  Participate in prayer ministry for the chapter.

2.   Assist the local director in establishing and maintaining church partnerships.

3.   Participate in some direct ministry to children to maintain an understanding of today’s child

4.   Recruit potential Christian Youth In Action participants and serve in their training and ministry.

5.   Serve as a liaison between CEF and the church.

6.   Visit clubs to evaluate and to provide prayer, encouragement, counsel, and direction.

ADMINISTRATIVE – The Ministry Coordinator will:

1.   Ensure that CEF policies and procedures are followed, and proper governance is maintained.

2.   Work with office staff to ensure all volunteers are screened and trained.

3.   Work with schools, churches, and individuals to organize and manage clubs and other events.

4.   Communicate accurately about the current state of ministry to the local director and local committee.

5.   Attend all state-office-sponsored meetings as requested by the state director or board.

6. Take all online CEF courses required for the position as directed by the Local Director.

STATUS: Part Time hourly: $16-18/hour, 20 hours/week

LOCATION: Work will be in southern Passaic, southwestern Bergen, southeastern Morris and Essex counties.
